What is Post-Concussion Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy can play a vital role in recovery from a concussion. Post-concussion rehabilitation is a multi-disciplinary effort and physiotherapy can help through: exercise therapy, manual therapy, education and referral to other healthcare practitioners.  Physiotherapists are also trained in vestibular rehabilitation, which is usually necessary after a concussion.

All therapists have taken education in post-concussion rehabilitation as part of their university training,

Physio Roots attempts to identify clinics that have marketed themselves in post-concussion care.  Before booking an appointment, make sure the therapist is comfortable working with concussions.
